David East Yachting Ltd was founded in 1980 by David and Serica East. By then David already had 18 years yacht broking experience. Serica, a former Rolls Royce Graduate Apprentice, with a degree in economics had moved into systems analysis and computer programming. Both have been sailing since childhood and raced together very successfully for many years.

The headquarters of David East Yachting Ltd is at Woodbridge in the county of Suffolk on England's North Sea coast. This ancient town lies at the head of the beautiful Deben estuary and has extremely good connections by road to major airports as well as to the seaport of Harwich with its high speed ferry service to the Hook of Holland. We are a small and enthusiastic team of dedicated professionals and have sold yachts in Australia, Hong Kong, North America, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, Spain and her islands, France, Italy, Malta, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Turkey, Gibraltar, the Channel Islands, South Africa, Ireland and of course in Britain.

The original ambitions of David East Yachting Ltd have never changed. We want to be the best at what we do. That is to maintain the highest standards of integrity, whilst presenting our clients' yachts to the market truthfully and in close detail. We pride ourselves on the depth of descriptive detail included in our sale particulars, and the extent to which we use photography. Almost all the photographs we use in our yacht presentations have been taken by us, and we take most of the sailing photos which appear in our magazine and website advertising.

We have a reputation for tenacity. It is a fact that yachts do not always sell quickly, and our policy is to maintain our efforts and enthusiasm for as long as it takes to achieve the objective.

The core of our business has always been sailing yachts. The yachts we now handle are much larger than they were 20 years ago. An overall length of around 70' / 21m is now our preferred minimum, and yachts well over 100' / 30m are within our marketing capabilities.
