5th September 2007 Comments from a client by e-mail 5th July 2007: ''Dear David,Re: S/Y Gitana. This is just a short note to thank you most sincerely for helping me to find and buy a fabulous boat. I'm only sorry that I needed to look at so many boats before ending up buying the boat that you mailed me about and which attracted me in the first place! It did occur to me, during the days we spent travelling and looking at so many boats, that yours is a perilous profession. To need to invest so much time, effort and expense without any guarantee of a result must require a level of commitment and dedication (not to mention optimism) that is all but non-existent these days - and you do it without a hint of pressure or impatience and with great style. How to balance your responsibilities as a representative of the vendors whilst also acting as a trustworthy consultant to the buyer is also obviously an acquired skill - and the fact that you're a walking encyclopaedia on virtually all matters nautical is just an added bonus. Anyway, thanks several million! When the time comes to sell and buy again - I know I'll be heading immediately in your direction. With kindest regards to you and Ricky, John Webley'' |

9th February 2004 Letter from an owner dated 5th February 2004 for whom David East Yachting acted as Central Agents: "Dear David and Ricky, Many, many thanks for selling my Swan 57 'Scaramouche' for me. I recognised that she would not have a very wide appeal, being a bit large for normal family use but slightly small as a skippered yacht. However, I was always confident that you were 'on the case', and you succeeded for me once again. I am in the process of acquiring a replacement yacht, which you will no doubt get to know quite well some time in the future! I wish you a happy and successful year 2004. Best wishes, Yours sincerely, John Marett" 20th January 2004 Comments from a client by e-mail 20th January 2004: "Thank you for your swift reply. I am looking forward to the information. May I tell you that your website is by far the best engineered one of those I have visited in my quest." Dr.
